The NBA playoffs have been one of the most watched and most anticipated sporting events every year. This year everyone is talking about the reigning champion Miami Heat. The Heat have won the last 2 NBA championships and are trying to become the first team since the Los Angeles Lakers in the early 2000's to win 3 straight NBA titles.
Even as I am a Miami fan myself, I don't think my team will "3-peat" this year. The team to beat in this years NBA playoffs has to be the San Antonio Spurs. They have played their starters the least amount of time out of any other team, and they still have the best record in the NBA! That usually just doesn't happen. The Spurs, led by point guard Tony Parker, have ended the regular season with a record of 62-20. They play as a team, distributing the ball effectively to get every player involved.
The number 1 team in the Eastern Conference is the Indiana Pacers. They finished the regular season with 56 wins and 26 losses. Before the season the Pacers were determined to take down the reigning champs, and they have ended the season 2 games ahead of the Miami Heat.
Don't get me wrong, the road to the NBA Finals won't be easy for the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, or the Indiana Pacers, but it will be an entertaining next few weeks as the road to those NBA finals begins. Who do you think will be the team to come out on top?
